Hmmmm...who names a book with a title like that? But it does get your attention. I thought it might just be pure porn but it's actually not. It is erotic and the characters, once together have a lot of steamy sex. But it's also a love story despite Cole's best efforts to prevent it..denial is a good way to go, yeah? Hailey has been under his skin since he first laid eyes on her. In a family of evil manipulators, she's the good one. The good girl with a moral compass, notably missing from her parents. They are first brought together when her father hires the Horus group to " fix" the problem when a hooker is found dead after being with him. He knows she's off limits but can't stop thinking about her. She is having the same problem but thinks he dislikes her because he's disapproving, stern and cold with her. Little does she know that's just his way of dealing with a off limits attraction. Then her oldest sister gets caught giving the Vice President a blow job, there's a video out...the press won't leave her alone and her boss suggests she work from home. As she's trying to slip out the back, Cole is there with his disapproving self, waiting outside the door to take her to her father's estate, which she vetoes. She can't stand her father and his law flaunting ways. And then it gets a little hotter as Cole finds he just can't quite walk away.
Warning, this is a hard to put down kind of book. Be prepared.

Don't get me wrong, when I downloaded this book I thought it was just going to be chocked full of sex. And it was. There was LOTS of steamy parts. But....There was so much more. I loved the story of these two broken people finding their way to each other. It was heartbreaking and uplifting, happy, sad and everything in between. I loved this book. Go on and read it, you won't be sorry.
I decided to give this one a chance (the name kind of threw me) but I'm so glad I did. This was a great read. I loved Cole and I loved Hailey. This was a sexy, dirty, sweet romance. Even though the name implies hate f*@king I didn't get that feeling at all! There is great sexual tension and nuclear chemistry between the MCs.

This story definitely isn't what the title suggests it will be. It was more like two people that were crazy attracted to each other but each one had their reasons for denying their attraction/feelings. I'd describe it more like angry sex rather than hate sex. There was so much emotion and OTT passion to ever be considered hate. More like intense sexual frustration and out of control cravings. It was hot and irresistible!

This was almost perfect. Almost because there were some minor issues I had. One being Hailey's constant denial of even the slight possibility that Cole wasn't the "bad" guy she made him out to be. That was annoying but luckily it was not dragged out too much. The second issue I had is the (however minor) mention ofCole's past with Penny. (view spoiler) I got over it because throughout the story, it was easy for me to feel that what he feels for the h was real and unique. I loved the scene were he explains that with Hailey, it always feels like the first time. Did I mention I loved Cole? Cause I did.
Yes, there are disturbing themes such as rape and incest and there are bad words. Get over it. He's an ex-Seal who partners with other sexy, alpha ex-military men who deal with real life disturbing issues. The negative reviewer claiming it was bad because her parents were terrible? Also real life, sweetie. I thought the book was awesome with a lot of erotic scenes that are so well-written, you'll be panting; plus intrigue and danger that will leave you holding your breath. The chemistry between Cole and Hailey is sizzling before and after they consummate their relationship. The sizzle never stops.

This is a fairy-tale born out of darkness, with a warrior prince and a snarky, smart princess who find their HEA after a lot of dragon-slaying and standing up to wicked relatives. It's worth the read and the jaunt into fantasy land because no real man could be as exceptional as Cole. He is magnificent and they each give their hearts to each other in ways that will leave you wanting that in real life. If only...
I've read and enjoyed other things by this author, but I just didn't like this book. The heroine's parents are horrible people, there are themes of incest, human trafficking, rape culture, a weird international consortium--all together its just too contrived and over the top. I constantly felt like I was missing part of the story, or that some things were there just as a lead in to another book in the series.
I saw “ Top 25 Bestseller” and I had seen several people recommending this book on social media, so I decided to give it a chance. This book is listed as erotica, so I went in knowing there was going to be a good amount of sex, however, seeing it also listed as military and romance I was looking forward to a good book.
For me, the characters were all over the place. The plot was interesting at times, but then when it started getting good, there was more sex. I felt the physical connection just fine between the main characters, but that was about it. I got through the book and I didn’t hate it entirely, however, it’s not something that I would read again. I think that the lack of character development and the focus leaning more toward sex than the storyline really didn’t work for me. I don’t mind reading erotica, but I need a strong storyline to be able to fully enjoy reading it.
